Meet Tabitha
Director of Partnerships
Tabitha is a business-minded, transformational leader with 15 years of educational experience. She is a licensed Elementary Teacher and P-12 administrator. She has served in several roles in her years in education. She began her career as a classroom teacher. Her leadership qualities excelled as she attained her P-12 administrator licensure. She was soon asked to join the Indiana Department of Education as an Outreach Coordinator, with the Division of School Improvement. In this role, she worked directly with numerous schools within the Indianapolis area on turnaround practices and building strong systems and structures. With her experience in school improvement, she attained a position as a building principal. This position led her to the role of curriculum director and district grant administrator. In this position, she led teachers and principals in CIA (curriculum, instruction, and assessment), data analysis, implemented district-wide PLCs and built the district’s pre-k program from the ground up. She has written, managed and overseen several million dollars in private, state, and federal grants, while ensuring these grants appropriately fund the district-wide goals.
As the Director of Partnerships, Tabitha develops affiliate relationships, writes and manages grants, and builds partnerships with school and corporation level leaders, Education Service Centers, and non-profit organizations. She is honored to provide expertise, leadership, and support to passionate professionals around the state.
Testimonials
Melanie Beaver, Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
South Vermillion Community School Corporation
Tabitha was my #1 go-to for all state and federal grant input due to her experience working at the Indiana Department of Education and in a K12 Indiana school district. She taught me how to create a budget worksheet for all of our Title Grants that could be utilized throughout the school year, and this drastically reduced my workload and my stress load when it came time to submit the live applications for each grant. She took time to meet with me and our Director of Finance to give clear and accurate guidance on allowable expenditures, reimbursements, and state/federal compliance.
